Stay Awake for Your Gaming Sessions

For a computer game fan, staying up throughout the night and playing for long hours is something that is quite common. However, while some can do it with ease, others find it hard to keep their eyes open. Your body begins to feel tired, your eyes refuse to stay open, and you just decide to listen to your mind that keeps saying, go off to sleep. So, what should you do so that you can play these marathon sessions and yet make absolutely no mistake?

The first thing that you can do is have a lot of carbohydrates and proteins on the day of the big game. This helps in two ways. Firstly, it gives you enough energy to carry on for a longer time and secondly, it makes sure that you don\’t feel too hungry during the session. While eating may be fine, don\’t overdo it. If you overeat, you will begin to feel drowsy way too soon and you will also find it difficult to concentrate.

Have a big breakfast but let the lunch be lighter and the dinner be even lighter. A cup of coffee, ginseng tea and a piece of candy will be helpful during the short breaks that you may get during the long sessions. However, avoid too much of caffeine or you may crash out as soon as the effect wears off and it may reduce your concentration too.

Multi-vitamin supplements are another thing that you should take daily if you are a frequent gamer. Pay special attention towards your eye health and choose a supplement that is good for the vision. Supplements for eye health can include vitamin C, resveratrol, fish oil and flax seed oil. Make sure that it is packed with antioxidants such as vitamins, A, B, C, D, and E.

You should also consider taking fish oil in liquid or capsule form for your computer gaming sessions. These are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids are very good for your eyesight and also for the health of your other organs.

During these gaming sessions, your body and mind will definitely get tired and you will feel like going off to sleep. Yes, it is true that sleep does indeed do you good and it also enhances your productivity. However, that doesn\’t mean that you can\’t stay without sleep for days on end. So, don\’t let yourself believe that something will happen to you if you don\’t go off to sleep immediately.

While you are busy playing, make sure to use bright lights since they keep you energized and prevent you from falling asleep. And if you do feel as if your eyes are just about to close, splash some cold water onto your face and eyes and get back to your game.
